Leather Care Guide

At Luxeloy, every item is handcrafted from 100% full-grain leather. Real leather is an organic material that matures over time, developing a unique character and rich patina. With minimal, proper care, your Luxeloy pieces will easily last a lifetime.

1. General Maintenance & Care

Keep It Dry: Leather is naturally water-resistant to light moisture, but severe water exposure can strip its natural oils. If your item gets wet, wipe it immediately with a soft, dry cloth and let it dry naturally at room temperature.
Avoid Direct Heat: Never use a hairdryer, heater, or direct sunlight to dry wet leather. High heat causes the leather to crack and stiffen permanently.
Rotate Usage: Giving your shoes, bags, or belts a rest every few days allows the moisture absorbed from body heat to evaporate naturally.

2. Cleaning & Conditioning

Daily Cleaning: Wipe away dust and surface dirt using a slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh household detergents, alcohol, or acetone.
Conditioning (Every 3–6 Months): Apply a small amount of high-quality, natural leather conditioner or wax using a clean cloth. Massage gently in circular motions to keep the leather soft, supple, and hydrated.
Spot Removal: For small stains, use a leather-specific cleaner. Always test any leather care product on a small, hidden area first before applying it fully.

3. Proper Storage

Store your bags and footwear in breathable dust bags when not in use.
Fill bags with tissue paper or soft cloth to help them retain their natural shape during storage.
Store leather goods in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and high humidity.

Understanding the Patina

Full-grain leather absorbs oils from your hands, sunlight, and everyday use. Over time, it will darken slightly and develop a subtle sheen known as a patina. This natural aging process is not wear-and-tear—it is the mark of genuine, high-grade leather and makes your item uniquely yours.
